DreamWorld is a great place for young and old.
When I first walked in I watched some of the rides and thought there was no way I was going to get on them but by the end of the day I had been on all of them!
The best time to visit the park is during school terms as there is a good amount of people there for atmosphere but the lines for rides are nice and short! Which is a bonus when you could be waiting hours just to get on a ride.
There is a section at DreamWrold called Tiger Island where their are about 3 tigers and the keepers come out twice a day to do presentations. I would recommend you go see the presentation as it’s really interesting. Just make sure you get there about 15 minutes before it starts because there is a pretty big crowd.
Also at the park is a wildlife section where you can see a few Australian animals including crocs, snakes and dingos.
With plenty of places to eat and a gift shop it’s a great place to spend the day.

Dreamworld is the ultimate place for family fun with rides a plenty. Anything from nice ‘n’ slow to gut wrenching rides.
There’s the Claw where you will be propelled 9 stories high, swung at at 75km/h and spun around 360 degrees.
For something tamer there’s the Runaway Reptar Rollercoaster which is a suspended ‘Familycoaster’.
Or the Wipeout where you are spun, twisted and tumbled through body wrenching dumping breakers.
Opening hours are from 10.00am to 5.00pm except Christmas Day (December 25th) and Anzac Day (25th April).
General Admission
Adults: $62
Children (4-13 years incl.): $40
Infants (0-3 years): Free when accompanied by an adult
Pensioners/Seniors: $40* (AUS & NZ residents only, ID required)

So this is the third time i’ve been to Dreamworld but the first time it’s been out of school holiday season. My big tip, go in off peak. The other two times we waited up to an hour for some rides, this time we virtually walked on to everything.
Dreamworld is mainly just there for ridesand animals (Movieworld and Seaworld are the place to go for ‘shows’). There is a really good range of rides. We took our 4 year old and the Nickledeon and Wiggles sections were enough to keep him occupied most of the morning. There’s dodgems, mini rollercoaster plane rides, big red car ride and heaps more. A few of the regular rides he was able to go on, the log ride and the other water one. And enjoyed the animals especially the tiger show and the petting/feeding section. For parents of younger kids it seemed to be the Themepark that’s keep them most entertained.
For other thrillseekers there are plently of rides (Tower of Terror, Giant Drop, WipeOut) to play all day.
Although the ticket says you can’t take in food or drink we took our own lunch and nobody checked our bag. i’d risk it, as food is at Themepark (ie. fairly pricey) prices.

The Goldcoast is theme park city. There’s
Dreamworld, Seaworld, Movieworld and Wet’n Wild. You can buy a three theme park pass that allows you to do the major theme parks.
Seaworld is the closest to Surfers and the other ones are accessable by bus. I liked Dreamworld the best.

This is my most favourite World of all the 3 Worlds that I have been… The first stop when I’m in Goldcoast next time..
If you are not into scary, not in need for speed, spine-tingling, adrenaline charged, out-of-this-world excitement rides, don’t come here…. hehehheee…. This place is full of vomit-all-your-food-out rides….
My favourite rides here are:
1. The Giant Drop
2. Cyclone
3. Tower of Terror (The long erected tower on the left side of the picture)
4. Wipeout (The yellow surf board in the picture)
5. Thunderbolt
Basically, those are the ultimate buzz rides.. Where it’s impossible for you to open your mouth to scream due to the extreme speed… By the way, there are more latest and thrilling rides now..
For the faint-hearted, there are always some other rides that you can enjoy…
Whatever your thrill meter, Dreamworld will take you on the ride of your life!

Dreamworld has got Australia’s best and most extreme rides. For serious ride lovers the Tower of Terror, one of the fastest, tallest rides in the world, is guaranteed to get your heart pumping. If that doesn’t send your thrill meter off the scale, there’s always The Giant Drop or the Wipeout for some adrenaline charged excitement.
The new thrill ride The Claw opens on the 18th September 2004.
Dreamworld also has the Big Brother house; its own waterpark, with slides and pools; animal exhibits- Tiger Island and the Australian Wildlife park; Imax theatre movies and Nick Central with many other rides and attractions for kids.
